League Connections- You Are the Ref!

Friday Night Situation:

Working the P-League at Cleveland Fitness Center when the League director is playing in a playoff game the teams became VERY physical and now the players turn to me (The Ref) as not calling the right fouls (as if these guys know any of the rules) it is our job as officials to maintain professionalism and put player safety first.

At the half the young director of the league tells me ('I'm getting fouled and you are not doing your job").  I reassured I was and asked him to back off. Minutes in the second half he fouled a player with an 1 as I asked my partner to switch and was reporting the foul he told me "You call another Foul on me or my team you will never work here again" as now his team is down by 12 points so I turned to him and said you can't fire me I quit! grabbed my gear and hit the exit granted I forgot my jacket with all the testosterone flowing which led too more words and my partner asking me to stay, but this wasn't the first time the league director has threaten the refs with You Cheat or You don't work a very harsh reality knowing your doing this for family reasons or education for yourself. If at any time you feel your morals or integrity are at stake by a coach, player, fan, and this new one league director WALK!
